Intermediate-Level Story
Amina vidait les derniers cartons de sa grand-mère quand elle tomba sur une boîte en métal ornée de roses fanées. À l'intérieur se trouvaient des dizaines de lettres jaunies par le temps. L'écriture demeurait parfaitement lisible : une calligraphie élégante qui contrastait avec les textos qu'Amina échangeait quotidiennement.
« Chère Fatima », commençait la première lettre, datée de 1962. « J'espère que cette missive vous trouvera en bonne santé... »
Amina fronça les sourcils. Qui donc écrivait à sa grand-mère dans un français si châtié ? Elle découvrit la signature : « Votre dévouée amie, Marguerite Dubois ».
« Maman ! » appela-t-elle depuis le grenier. « Tu connais Marguerite Dubois ? »
