Thomas vient d'emménager dans un petit village en Dordogne. Un samedi matin d'octobre, son voisin, Monsieur Laurent, frappe à sa porte avec un grand panier en osier à la main.
"Bonjour Thomas! C'est la saison des champignons. Voulez-vous venir avec moi? Je connais les meilleurs endroits," dit-il avec enthousiasme.
Thomas hésite. Dans son appartement parisien, il achetait toujours ses champignons au supermarché. Mais la passion de Monsieur Laurent est contagieuse, et il accepte l'invitation.
